Finance Business Partner - Manufacturing
Description

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner with a robust background in manufacturing costing to drive financial performance and commercial strategy within our manufacturing operations. This role will serve as a strategic advisor to business units, partnering closely with production, sales, and operations teams to deliver actionable insights that optimize cost structures, enhance profitability, and support sustainable growth.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Partnership:

    • Act as the finance liaison to manufacturing and commercial teams, ensuring alignment of financial strategy with business objectives.
    • Provide proactive financial insights and recommendations to drive commercial decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Manufacturing Costing & Analysis:

    • Lead the analysis of manufacturing costs, including direct and indirect expenses, to support pricing, product profitability, and margin enhancement.
    • Develop, monitor, and report on key manufacturing and operational KPIs.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within production processes.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting:

    • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes for the manufacturing division.
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports to senior management.
    • Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing detailed explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Commercial Strategy Support:

    • Collaborate with commercial teams on pricing strategies, cost control initiatives, and margin analysis to ensure competitive positioning in the market.
    • Assist in the evaluation of new product lines and manufacturing investments from a financial perspective.
    • Support scenario planning and business case development for strategic initiatives.
Skills & Experience
  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in finance within a manufacturing environment
    • Proven experience in manufacturing costing, and financial analysis.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic business insights.
    • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
    • Detail-oriented, with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Preferred:

    • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA) is a plus.
    • Experience working in a high-growth, dynamic manufacturing environment.
